RINGOE ("we", "us", "our") operates ringoe.com. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and what your choices are.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and the items you order.
  • Payment information: payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
  • Communications: messages you send us, such as customer support emails.
  • Usage data: information about how you use our website, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to emails or contact us. We also collect it automatically when you visit our website, and from service providers who help us run our store (for example Shopify and our payment and shipping providers).

4. Why we use your information

  • to process and deliver your orders, and arrange returns and refunds;
  • to communicate with you about your order and answer your questions;
  • to prevent fraud and keep our website secure;
  • to improve our website, products and services;
  • to send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and to show you relevant advertising; and
  • to meet our legal obligations.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies (including pixels) to keep your cart working, understand how visitors use our site and measure our advertising. These may be provided by Shopify, Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and similar services. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of our website may not work properly if you do. You can also manage ad personalisation in the settings of those platforms.

6. Who we share your information with

We only share your information where needed to run our business, including with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store;
  • payment providers that process your payment;
  • fulfilment, warehouse and shipping partners that pack and deliver your order (they receive your name, delivery address, phone number and order details);
  • email, analytics and advertising providers that help us communicate with you and measure our marketing; and
  • government or law enforcement bodies where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. Disclosure overseas

Some of our service providers are located outside Australia, including in China (fulfilment and shipping partners) and in countries where Shopify and our other technology providers store data, such as the United States and Canada. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers handle your information appropriately. By placing an order, you understand that your information will be sent to these overseas providers so that your order can be delivered.

8. Marketing and unsubscribing

We only send marketing emails or texts if you have opted in. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at any time to opt out. We will still send you service messages about your orders.

9. Security and how long we keep information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then securely delete or de-identify it.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (where the law allows) by emailing ringoetrend@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

11. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

12. Children

Our website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top.
